The Wall Street Journal: Trump financial disclosure form appears to show reimbursement for Stormy Daniels payment

President Donald Trump’s newly filed financial disclosure notes a payment connected to an adult-film actress who alleged a relationship with him more than a decade ago.

The payment is documented as a reimbursement to attorney Michael Cohen of between $100,001 and $250,000 for expenses in 2016.

The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Cohen struck an agreement with Stephanie Clifford, the former adult-film actress professionally known as Stormy Daniels, weeks before the 2016 presidential election. Through a limited liability company, Cohen paid Ms. Clifford $130,000.

Trump’s new attorneys have said he agreed to pay Cohen $250,000 in part for negotiating the nondisclosure agreement that was tied to the payment to Ms. Clifford. Trump has denied a relationship with Clifford.
